About:

Founded in 2024 WebbyBoyStudios is the next phase of our journey into the world of Software and Game development.

The name of the development arm was updated to officially mark the change in direction from Apps to Games, and previous to the above changes all development was contained under the WebbyBoy Software label, who ceased Android Application development in 2023.

All developments raised under the WebbyBoy Software guise were supported by the new brand until their end of life, which due to the policy changes required by Google in regard to API Levels and Restrictions, occurred in early 2026.

This end of life cessation also marked our current development directly for the Google / Play Store market, and we are currently working with Unity Marketplace & several other vendors to act as our outlets for future releases.

Current Projects:

We are working on several products at present, which have varying priorties depending on our current focus:

Games:

• Hack The World (Working Title): This is an Open Style Hacker game, set in different decades and begins in the 80’s. Not only does it incorporate ‘real-life’ hacks of each decade (with some changes to ensure gameplay is not affected due to realism), but also pays homage to the great hacker films and lore of each era. Your actions and outcomes will dictate progress and the game direction. You can take on different roles, as a Black, White, or Grey hat, and have opportunity to change between them. You can work for clandestine organisations, government departments, or as a solo entity. There is also an underlying storyline which develops as the game progresses, and allows for more freedom within the game world.
• The Invasion (Working Title): Set in the recent past, ‘The Invasion’ takes on the premise of Aliens openly arriving on Earth, and the disclosure they have been in secret liaison with the world governments for many years. Initially seen as a great benefit to mankind, the story develops into something a lot more sinister. This is a mission based game, which allows you to take on different roles ranging from Shadowy Government Officials, to Conspiracy Theorists, to Alien Ambassadors.

Apps:

• WBSSequencer (Working Title): This is almost a hybrid of Game and Application. A 16 step entry-level music sequencer for PC, with additional Synth functionality, MIDI, Visualisers, and the ability to export any tracks you create. This initially started out as a learning app, so I could learn ‘hands on’ about the technical side of digital music creation. There are numerous applications in the market, both free and paid, which preform these functions, and our goal is not to go up against these products, but more to provide a foundation for people who want to experiment for free and develop basic skills in the area.
• TMAApp (Working Title): The TMA (The Maker’s Allotment) App, has again been developed as a study into the utilisation of technology by Gardeners, Allotment Owners, or those who wish to monitor specific events in the real world. Based upon current IOT (Internet Of Things) technology the TMAApp allows you to create virtual plots to which you can add various ‘real life’ monitoring for conditions, and incorporates planting logs with alerts, grow diaries, and help functions for specific Produce, as well as the monitoring of specific trackers. The Maker’s Allotment will also be a companion application to the YouTube channel of the same name.
